FAQs
Brand & Factory Information
Who is the manufacturer behind Yohokamper?
Yohokamper is the premier outdoor brand operated by Hangzhou Shihao Industrial Co., Ltd. We are a specialized manufacturer and exporter of vehicle-based adventure gear, located in the Gongshu District of Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China.
Are you a trading company or a factory?
We operate on a Factory-Direct model. By partnering with us, you are dealing directly with the source of production. This eliminates the markup of trading companies and regional distributors, ensuring you get the lowest possible landed cost for your inventory.
Where is your headquarters located?
Our operational headquarters and export center are located at:
- Address: Rooms 209 and 211, No. 4, Shanxian Road, Gongshu District, Hangzhou, Zhejiang 310000, REPÚBLICA POPULAR DE CHINA.
Can I visit your facility?
Absolutely. We welcome prospective wholesale partners to visit our showroom and production lines in Hangzhou. Please contact our sales team at least 15 days in advance to arrange a factory tour and meeting.
Do you offer OEM / Private Label services?
Yes. A significant portion of our business is producing OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) gear for global outdoor brands. We can customize the tent shell colors, fabric colors, and laser-cut or screen-print your logo directly onto the products.
What certifications do your products hold?
Our manufacturing processes adhere to strict quality control standards. Our rooftop tents and awnings are tested for waterproofing (PU3000mm ratings) and wind resistance. For EU clients, we can provide material compliance documents required for importation.
Product Specifications & Engineering
What makes the Yohokamper RTT different from other Chinese exports?
We specialize in the 8cm Ultra-Thin Aluminum profile. While many factories produce bulky fiberglass shells (25cm+ height), our engineering team focuses on low-profile, aerodynamic aluminum designs that allow your customers to park in home garages—a major selling point for retailers.
What materials are used in your Hardshell Tents?
We use a high-strength 5052 Aluminum Alloy for the shell, which offers superior impact resistance compared to ABS plastic. The tent body is crafted from 600D Poly-Oxford Ripstop fabric with a PU3000mm waterproof coating and UV50+ protection.
Are your 270° Awnings truly freestanding?
Yes. Our Shadow-Wing 270° Awnings feature a reinforced aluminum truss hinge system that supports the awning's weight without poles in calm conditions. However, we strictly advise using the included drop-down legs and guy lines if wind speeds exceed 15mph (24km/h).
What is the lifespan of your products?
Designed for expedition use, our aluminum shells are built to last 10+ years. The fabric components have a typical lifespan of 5-7 years depending on UV exposure and maintenance.
Can I order custom colors for my market?
Yes. While our standard stock is Matte Black (Shell) and Grey/Green (Fabric), we can produce custom colorways for bulk orders (typically MOQ 50+ units) to match your brand identity.
Do you sell accessories separately?
Yes. We offer a full catalog of high-margin accessories, including winter insulation kits, annex rooms, shoe bags, and ladder extensions, which can be added to your container order to increase Average Order Value (AOV).
Shipment & Logistics (Export)
Where do your products ship from?
All products are manufactured and shipped directly from our facility in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China. We generally ship via the Port of Ningbo or Shanghai.
What shipping terms (Incoterms) do you offer?
We are flexible and negotiate terms based on your needs:
- EXW (Ex Works): You pick up from our factory.
- FOB (Free on Board): We handle transport to the Chinese port; you handle the ocean freight.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight): We manage freight to your destination port.
- DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): We handle everything, including customs and duties, delivering straight to your warehouse.
What is the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ)?
To ensure shipping efficiency, our standard MOQ is 5 units (LCL Shipment). However, for the best shipping rates and product protection, we highly recommend a 20ft Container (approx. 20-30 units) or 40HQ Container (approx. 60-70 units).
How long is the production lead time?
Sample Orders: 7-10 days.
LCL Orders (<20 units): 15-20 days.
Full Containers (FCL): 25-35 days depending on seasonal demand.
How are the tents packaged for export?
We use heavy-duty, double-wall corrugated export cartons with reinforced foam corner protection. For LCL (Less-Than-Container) shipments, we strap goods to custom wooden pallets to prevent forklift damage during transit.
Can you handle customs clearance for me?
If you choose DDP Terms, yes. We work with our freight forwarders to handle all import documentation, duties, and taxes, so the goods arrive at your door as a domestic delivery.
Payment Terms
Do you offer credit terms?
For new partners, we do not offer credit terms. However, for long-term distributors with a proven track record of annual volume, we may negotiate OA (Open Account) terms after one year of partnership.
What currency do you trade in?
We accept USD (United States Dollar) and EUR (Euro). Pricing is typically quoted in USD unless otherwise negotiated.
What is your standard payment structure?
Our standard term for production orders is 30% Deposit to initiate manufacturing, with the 70% Balance due before shipment (or against the Bill of Lading for established partners).
What payment methods do you accept?
We primarily accept T/T (Telegraphic Transfer / Bank Wire) for wholesale orders. For small sample orders, we may accept PayPal or Western Union.
Is the sample cost refundable?
Yes. If you order a sample unit to test quality, we will credit the difference between the sample price and the wholesale price back to you upon your first full container order.
Do prices include tax?
Our wholesale price lists are generally Ex-Tax (Export Price). Import VAT, GST, or Sales Tax is the responsibility of the buyer unless we have agreed to a specific DDP rate that includes these costs.
After-Sales Support & Warranty
Do you offer marketing support for dealers?
Yes. All authorized dealers receive access to our Digital Media Kit, which includes high-resolution photos, unbranded video content for social media, and technical spec sheets to help you list and sell the products effectively.
How do I submit a warranty claim?
Claims are handled via email. You must send photos or video evidence of the defect, along with the batch number (located inside the tent). Our engineering team reviews claims within 48 hours.
Do you provide spare parts?
Yes. We maintain a stock of critical spare parts (gas struts, latches, mounting kits, rainfly rods) at the factory.
- For Urgent Claims: We ship parts via DHL/FedEx Air (3-5 days).
- For Stock: We recommend dealers order a "Service Kit" of spare parts with their container to handle minor repairs locally.
What is the warranty on wholesale orders?
Yohokamper provides a 1-Year Limited Manufacturer’s Warranty to our direct wholesale partners. This covers manufacturing defects in the shell, frame, mechanics, and fabric.
What happens if products are damaged during shipping?
If you arranged your own shipping (FOB), you must claim against your insurance. If we handled shipping (CIF/DDP), we will assist in filing the insurance claim. Crucially, you must note damages on the delivery receipt immediately upon arrival.
Do you cover labor costs for repairs?
As a factory-direct exporter, our warranty covers Replacement Parts Only. We do not cover third-party labor costs for repairs performed in your country. We provide video guides to help your team perform repairs easily.
